LEGAL / PRIVACY / VERSION 2.0

PRIVACY
POLICY.

Last updated: August 3, 2026

ISSUA (the “App”) respects the privacy of you and your travel memories. This Policy explains how information is handled in connection with the App and official website.

01On-Device Itinerary, Clip, and Ticket Data

The App primarily stores on your device the trip title, destination, dates, plans, places, addresses, notes, and other itinerary information imported from simrip; short video clips and audio you record or import; thumbnails; issued tickets; and related information.

Itineraries, clips, audio, photos, ticket text, places, and notes are not designed to be transmitted for analytics, advertising, or operational monitoring.

02Camera, Microphone, and Photo Library

The camera is used to record two-second travel clips. The microphone is used to keep the sound of the moment with a clip. The photo library is used to select photos and videos, import a selected range from a video, save completed Trip Vlogs and tickets, and attach files you explicitly choose for a contact request.

You can change permissions at any time in device Settings. Features that require a denied permission will not be available.

03simrip Trip Files

The App reads simrip-format JSON files that you select or share. Imported itinerary data is used on your device to create journey cases and timelines. The App may open the simrip app or its App Store page.

simrip is a separate app. Review its privacy information for handling that occurs within simrip.

04Usage Analytics

The App uses Firebase Analytics, and the official website uses Google Analytics 4. Feature usage, processing duration, result, export format, app version, OS, device or browser type, viewed page, and predefined actions may be sent to Google to improve quality and understand usage.

Free-form text, journey IDs, ticket IDs, clip, photo and file names, itinerary text, places, and notes are excluded from analytics events. GA4 is enabled on the website when analytics is allowed.

05Diagnostics

To investigate crashes and failures involving itinerary import, capture, video processing, saving, exporting, purchases, or advertising, we may process error codes, failure stages, limited error summaries, stack information, app, build, OS, device, language and screen classifications, and a random device value.

Operational errors are sent through Cloudflare to a private Slack workspace. Fatal crashes and related diagnostics are processed by Firebase Crashlytics. Itinerary text, video, audio, photos, ticket text, places, and notes are excluded from diagnostic notifications.

06Contact Requests

The contact form processes the category, message, reply preference, reply email, images or videos you select, source, app, build, OS, device, language and screen classification, submission time, and reference number.

Cloudflare Workers and Queues process this information, and R2 temporarily stores selected attachments before delivery to a private Slack workspace. Attachments are deleted from Cloudflare after delivery, with a short lifecycle for leftovers. Itineraries, tickets, photos, and videos are never attached automatically.

07Notices, Update Checks, and Abuse Prevention

The App may retrieve in-app notices and recommended-version information from the official website. It does not send itineraries or user content with these requests. IP address, browser or device information, and communication information normally associated with a web request may be processed by Cloudflare.

The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to prevent spam. Temporary values used for rate limiting are designed so that raw IP addresses are not written to our application logs.

08Advertising

The App uses Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device information, advertising identifiers, IP addresses, ad impressions and interactions, and diagnostics for delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, and quality improvement. See the Google Privacy Policy and Google advertising information.

Tracking and region-specific consent choices can be changed using the App’s privacy options or device Settings.

09In-App Purchases

Ad-removal purchases, payments, refunds, and restoration are processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. The App may reference product IDs, purchase status, and transaction information but does not collect payment card information. See the Apple Privacy Policy.

10Retention, Deletion, and Backups

  • On-device itineraries, clips, thumbnails, and tickets: until you delete them or remove the App.
  • Deletion actions: a journey or clip can be restored during the short Undo period shown in the App.
  • GA4, Firebase Analytics, and Crashlytics: according to our configured periods and each service’s terms.
  • Contact messages, email, and Slack attachments: for the period needed to handle the request and according to the Slack workspace retention setting.
  • Cloudflare R2 contact attachments: deleted after Slack delivery, with a short lifecycle for undelivered objects.

Removing the App also removes travel memories stored inside it. Save important Trip Vlogs and tickets to Photos or share them as a backup. To request access, correction, deletion, or another privacy action, use the privacy request form.

11External Services and International Processing

Principal external services are Cloudflare for web delivery, APIs, queues, temporary attachments, abuse prevention, and operational logs; Slack for contact handling and operational notifications; Google for analytics, crash diagnostics, advertising, and consent management; and Apple for purchases, payment, and app distribution. These providers may process information in locations outside Japan. We do not sell collected personal information except where required by law.

12Minors

Minors should use the App with parental consent where appropriate. Respect the privacy and rights of others when recording or sharing video and audio. Contact, advertising, and in-app purchases should also be used under parental supervision.

13Changes and Contact

We may revise this Policy in response to legal or feature changes. Important changes will be announced on this page or through in-app notices. Contact us through the Contact page with questions about this Policy.
